Hastelloy C276 Rod is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy rod that exhibits excellent resistance to general and local corrosion due to its balanced ratio of chromium, molybdenum and tungsten elements. The material performs particularly well in harsh chemical environments such as wet chlorine, mixed acids and halide-containing media, and can withstand oxidizing atmospheres and strong reducing conditions up to 1093°C. Its unique composition design makes it one of the few metal materials that can resist both boiling hydrochloric acid and hypochlorite corrosion.
Different from ordinary corrosion-resistant alloys, C276 Rod has obtained excellent mechanical strength and thermal stability through solid solution strengthening treatment, and is particularly suitable for manufacturing load-bearing parts such as pump shafts, valve cores, and reactor stirring rods. Its low silicon content (≤0.08%) effectively avoids the precipitation of brittle phases during welding or heat treatment, ensuring structural integrity. The product complies with international standards such as ASTM B574 and is widely used in fields such as nuclear power and waste incineration power generation that require extremely high material reliability.
