3A21 Aluminum pipe/tube is a manganese-alloyed aluminum pipe known for its good corrosion resistance, moderate strength, and excellent thermal conductivity. As part of the 3xxx series, it contains 1.0-1.6% manganese, which enhances its mechanical properties compared to pure aluminum while maintaining high ductility. With a typical tensile strength of 110-170 MPa (16,000-24,600 psi) and elongation of 20-30%, it offers superior formability for bending, flaring, and welding applications.
This makes it particularly suitable for heat exchangers, automotive radiators, and air conditioning systems where thermal performance and corrosion resistance are critical.
The alloy exhibits outstanding resistance to atmospheric corrosion and seawater, outperforming many other aluminum alloys in humid or marine environments. Its non-heat-treatable nature allows for easy fabrication through cold working, while its brazeability and solderability simplify joining processes.
Commonly used in chemical processing equipment, fuel lines, and architectural tubing, 3A21 aluminum pipe provides a cost-effective balance of durability, workability, and thermal efficiency.
